Our standards and policies against child sexual abuse and exploitation, and how we protect minors on our platform.

Our Commitment

Treato Private Limited ("Treato") has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform. We are committed to protecting minors and maintaining a safe environment for all users. This policy outlines our standards, detection methods, and enforcement procedures.

Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities:

  • Any sexual content involving minors (under 18 years of age)
  • Content that sexualizes minors in any way
  • Grooming behavior or solicitation of minors
  • Sharing, distributing, or requesting CSAM
  • Links to external sites containing CSAM
  • Content that promotes or glorifies child exploitation
  • Sextortion or blackmail involving minors

Detection & Prevention

We employ multiple layers of protection to detect and prevent CSAE:

  • AWS Rekognition content moderation for all uploaded images and videos (Posts, Reels, Stories, Videos)
  • Automated scanning before content is published - flagged content is held for review
  • Human review by trained Trust & Safety team for flagged content
  • VirusTotal integration for file scanning and malware detection
  • Age verification for content creators (doctors and healthcare professionals)
  • In-app reporting system with priority queue for child safety reports
  • Proactive monitoring of high-risk content categories

Reporting CSAE

If you encounter any content that may involve child exploitation:

  • Use the in-app "Report" button on any content, profile, or message
  • Select "Child Safety" or "Involves a minor" as the reason
  • Email our Trust & Safety team directly at [email protected]
  • Reports are reviewed within 24 hours by trained specialists

All reports are treated with the highest priority and confidentiality. You may also report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) atCyberTipline.org.

Enforcement Actions

When CSAE is detected or reported, we take immediate action:

  • Immediate removal of violating content
  • Permanent account termination with no appeal
  • Preservation of evidence for law enforcement
  • Mandatory reporting to NCMEC CyberTipline
  • Cooperation with law enforcement investigations
  • Ban on creating new accounts (device and identity-based)

Legal Obligations

Treato complies with all applicable laws regarding child safety, including but not limited to:

  • 18 U.S.C. § 2258A - Mandatory reporting to NCMEC
  • PROTECT Act (Prosecutorial Remedies and Other Tools to end the Exploitation of Children Today)
  • Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) - Section 67B
  • Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (India)
  • EU Digital Services Act requirements

Creator Verification & Age Requirements

Users must be at least 13 years of age to create an account on Treato.

Only verified creators can post content. All content creators must be 18+ and go through our approval process before they can publish:

  • Doctors must submit medical license/registration for verification
  • Healthcare professionals must provide professional credentials
  • Identity verification with government-issued ID
  • Manual review by our team before creator status is granted
  • Regular users cannot post content — only approved adult creators can

Training & Resources

Our Trust & Safety team receives specialized training in identifying and responding to CSAE. We partner with organizations including NCMEC, the Tech Coalition, and local law enforcement agencies to stay current on emerging threats and best practices.
