What doctors can post on Treato

Posts and reels on Treato are for teaching patients. They are checked before anyone sees them.

Last updated: October 11, 2026

What a post is for

Every post or reel has one purpose, chosen by the doctor before writing. The purpose decides what the checks look for.

Teach something

Explain a condition, a test or a habit in plain words.

Public health

Share guidance on prevention, screening or an outbreak.

Practice notice

Tell patients about hours, closures or a change of location.

Greeting

Wish patients well on a festival or a health day.

What is never allowed

  • Promises or guarantees of results, and claims that are hard to check.
  • Comparing a doctor with other doctors, or calling one the best.
  • Prices, discounts, offers and invitations to book.
  • Patient testimonials, reviews and thanks.
  • Before-and-after material.
  • Anything that could identify a patient.
  • Endorsing a product or a brand.
  • Messages meant to frighten people.
  • People or voices created by AI.

Your credentials on every post

Treato adds the doctor's name, qualifications, registration council and registration number to every post, taken from their verified profile. The doctor cannot edit or remove this line, so it is always accurate.

How posts are checked

  1. As the doctor writes. Automatic rules read the text and the media and point to anything that needs changing, with a suggested fix.
  2. Before it goes live. The post is checked again. An AI reviewer reads anything the rules are unsure about. Clear posts go live straight away.
  3. If something needs changing. The doctor sees what to change and why, and can fix the post or appeal.
  4. If the checks disagree. A person at Treato decides, and the doctor is told the reason.

Every check is logged, so a decision can be explained later.

AI labels

Doctors say when AI helped write the text or create or edit an image or video. Treato shows a label on those posts. Posts that use AI-generated people or voices cannot be published.

Questions, not comments

Patients can ask a doctor a question about a post and mark a post as helpful. There are no open comment threads and no public like, view or follower counts. A question that describes a personal case is held back and is not shown to others. Doctors answer in general terms, and answers are checked in the same way as posts.

Reporting, takedown and appeal

Any patient can report a post and choose a reason. Treato reviews reports and can remove a post. A doctor whose post is removed or sent back can appeal from My posts. To tell us about a post directly, write to[email protected].

Our commitments on ranking

  • Nobody pays to rank higher, in search or in feeds.
  • There are no boosts and no sponsored doctor content.
  • Feeds are finite. They end, and every post can explain why it was shown.

This page explains how Treato works. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace a doctor's own duty to follow the rules that apply to them.
